Few of my relatives, friends and neighbors who reach their 40’s already experience the wrath of overweight and bad eating habit. With the special mention of diabetes type 1 or 2, you are bound to take medication for life I bet. High cholesterol, heart issues and high blood pressure, these are only few of the chronic disease exponents. My Aunt who is as old as me is now taking medication, and that’s alarming to me if I’m not careful to my health. We could not avoid getting sick or worst maintaining medicine as we get older. I’m still healthy and kicking, and certainly I will maintain my diet. Good Lord. I love life.
We already bid goodbye to summer last week and autumn is inevitable. We have all the sunshine but with cooler air. So if anyone out there is planning to shed extra pounds before the Thanksgiving and more holidays’ smorgasbord, better start planning the fastest way to lose weight. I don’t need to remind myself about this because I already started my daily walking since my son’s school started. My great walks going to and from school. This walking may be less during winter. And of course, you also have to consider the food intakes, the biggest challenge of all losing weight.
It’s our son’s 5th birthday. Awaken at 3am after hearing the rumblings of gift wrapping and balloons blowing. Who is not excited, after counting the number of sleeps left after his Daddy’s birthday that was week away? His Day morning is way active and alert than ever, asking and wishing that he could open his presents. Ha ha ha dream on, birthday is celebrated at dinner time. He eats his meals on time and fast. Imagine, he could not open the presents or worst will be given to a little boy next door if he fails to eat his meals. We do scare him a little bit. You know one of the picky eaters.
We heard all the wows!!!And after he conquers the Eden of birthday presents, he is now asking when the next present coming is. That would be in the coming Christmas as Santa will always do especially to good boys and girls, it’s another motivating factor to be good, ha ha ha, Happy Birthday Qays.
Really! Can you do that? Like, removing wrinkle! May be for a short time like applying botox I suppose. I would likely entertain the power of botox if I have money for it, but because it will be injected in to my skin, I would likely say no. One day when I have my wrinkles to worry about, I would definitely use some wrinkle remover or reducer that is in cream base, surgery and botox injection are way too scary for me. I don’t want to indulge my facial line that is why I’m already using moisturizers with wrinkle reducer or anti-wrinkle.
In terms of washing and all other chores at home, I take the charge. The hubby was mumbling about buying good brand detergents. Since, I am very particular with cleanliness I definitely know how to wash, hands or washing machine. I don’t shove all colors in one load. I am more on proper washing color coding. Whites must remain whites or whiter. I told my hubby, whatever is the detergent I am using cheap, expensive or good brand, the issue is “do you know what is clean”? Since, I know it perfectly, detergents doesn’t matter to me. I mean, they have all the same active ingredients. One big question is do you know what is clean and not clean after the wash? If you could not see any difference at all, you are alright.
Oh, yes I did not miss the aisle of polo’s. Last week, I made few shopping’s for hubby’s birthday presents. I always opted to working clothes and it’s wise as well buying presents that are wearable. At home, practicality is always an issue, what else when frugal is the shopper. I got him 2 of men's polo shirts, leather jacket and perfume spray. I spent quite much for the occasion, well he never have vices and never shop for himself. It is only fair to treat him something fabulous once a year. He doesn’t get anything during father’s day and no other celebrations that are more important than birthday for me. Next week is our son’s birthday, another shopping was made but in minimal spending. That is why September dried out my wallet.
I hope that rain will fall tonight so that I could spend much time browsing car dealers nearby. I’ve already weight the possibility of getting the VW jetta or Honda civic. Majority of my research decided to drive a civic for long term use, heapty gas savings and less maintenance headaches. While, jetta they said that you can keep them until the last date of the warranty. Otherwise maintenance headache will start to tick in, in short, drive VW for short term use. And, drive civic for long term use. The purpose of our car is purely utility use, so I guess we opted to the civic.
It’s been awhile now since I last received my daily newspaper. I stopped my subscription and that also stopped many of my free coupons that usually inserted into my morning paper. Truly, I enjoyed my savings from coupons. Right now, I still enjoyed the savings because I go through online coupons. Imagine paying branded groceries for less like generic price. I also love looking for restaurant coupons, seldom in sometimes we go out to a restaurant, occasionally when there is worth celebrating for.
Most women love to shop right. I actually, started liking it. Before, I don’t enjoy it because it’s tiring and I’m too busy working. Shopping clothing and shoes are the things I dream to do before but what I enjoy most is eating out especially in a buffet. Yum yum yum. This time, I’m a full time mommy and honey. I have nothing in my mind to kill my boredom. If I have money I will definitely shop but not to the point of buying stuff then shove it in the closet and not ever seeing them again until closet’s cleaning. Think frugal, that’s who I am. Like today, my favorite store is having a big sale for summer inventory, and I have no money to spend. I drool. Things always get in your way when you don’t need them or you can’t afford to have them.
Is there any way we could lose our weight fast. There may be quicker ways to lose weight for each one of us, but it doesn’t mean it applies to the rest or may be to some. One thing is we have different metabolism issues. It could be true that some diet pills will hasten the weight lose process. I just hope that it’s not like having a diarrhea. That is, how to lose weight fast is more on to each his/her own. Personally, I lose weight fast when eating little carbohydrate or not at all, and consume more on fibrous foods and stick to water.
My son’s birthday is coming and he is counting the number of sleeps left. He must be excited of his presents and cake blowing, while me doesn’t know when to wrap them. He is always around me. This morning he asked me to buy him a boy, as brother you know. I already told him about a baby in a pregnant tummy but he insists of getting them from the store. Gee, if getting one baby is easy like scouring the store counters. I could order one 4 years old girl too. Oh boy, he also asked for a girl. Then, he asked if I have baby in my tummy. Appalled! I quickly said noooooo, not a chance. One is enough.
It seems that talking about dieting never ends may be until we stop eating. Glory to all carrot sticks, only rabbits enjoy this tuber day-by-day. To most of my friends who are little bit heavier on the scale, tried some diet pills over the counter, do the six-to-six eating regimen, high fiber accompanied by weight loss drinks, tea to water. In short time, the diet regimen shows changes but then few months or weeks, there goes again the roller coaster of fat and chubby not even close to thin.
Adios to summer heat and Buenos Dias to fall chill. Grrrrr, we already feel the cool touch of the coming season. Uh yes, sweaters and lights coats are once again needed, and if you want to feel fabulous try one of your cashmere sweaters. Gee, speaking of cashmere I still hang them in the closet with the tag on it. My hubby bought it for me, besides I need to dry clean it after the used. What I mean is it’s expensive to wear it than to look at it, dry cleaning charge you know.
Each parent has their own way of nurturing, caring and raising the children to be good and to be better in their own endeavors in life. While young, we teach and taught them the circumstances of right and wrong decisions and doings they would be making. In general child explores, their curiosity sometimes lead them to mischief and if lucky conquers ultimate happiness. That’s how we started learning our surroundings right. All of us pass through these threads of life and its challenges.
I have no regrets in my life regarding rearing my son. Certainly, parents in general have all the rights to be proud of themselves about their roles to the life of their children, yet we tend to be in the shadow of humility. That’s humble enough of us because we don’t want to be conceited. Though, I met few parents who humbly spilled-out themselves that they are good parents, I mean who are not? We did our best to be responsible parents. But what if your child started to act differently than you expected right thing he or she’s supposed to be or do? You know what? We are surprised. If they did wrong we tend to correct it and appreciate when they’re doing great. Appropriate enough. Nothing is seems perfect. That is why we still struggle to guide our little ones. Actually, I was victimized by a 3-year old rudeness. I let it pass, he’s just a kid but the parent was alarmed.
I was just sshhzzzing about my fat belly burning regimen. I stick to natural way and control, there is no diet pills that work for me because I don’t take or buy one. First, I could not afford buying one of the diet pills in the counter. Second, I don’t want to cleanse my body by putting myself to diarrhea like regimen, and then lose weight. The latter, was obviously happened to me because I once tried my Aunt’s diet concoction. I would rather stick to low carb and high in fiber with constant walking, these regimens works totally fabulous for me.
Lately, I was mumbling horribly about my driving experience as being one of the learners but not the eager one. With all the hoorahs, road scare and driving instructor’s shouts due to poor patience, I am proud to say that I nailed my last drive test to almost perfect. I was released from the oozing pressures my instructor put me through. Learning that I passed the drive test, I was extremely happy not for my driving license but to get rid of my driving instructor. He is kind and nice in a way, but his “shouting style” instructions are emotionally distracting than racing for a road rage. I may be sounds exaggerating but my few friends have changed driving instructor. They could not stand the shouting pressures, I stick because I must. Well, I am thankful to all his efforts, he taught me how to drive and passed it. Now, I’m ready to get a car and drive it myself. Hooray!
It’s a wise idea to shop early and save on christmas gifts. Well, it may be happening last night to one of Toronto's shopping centers. I made a little shopping last night for my tot’s birthday for this coming Tuesday. I thought that many are celebrating birthdays in September. Or, it could be for Christmas presents, who knows, I went there to enjoy the on-sale toys, but sale or not. I would buy toys anyway. What would you give to a five-year old to be, to make them extremely high? Toys right, when they’re young it seems easy to figure out what presents to unveil and when they’re big enough to choose what they likes most. We end up a loser if budget is really tight, loser in the sense of not making them happy enough because they usually ask ridiculous things. I will just surprise myself when that time comes.
Yeah, my hubby asked me to find a nice place for the first day celebration of Eid. Well, forget about the steak and seafood, my boys are not fun of them. What I love most is steak unfortunately the day must be enjoyed by the three of us. We do enjoy Chinese foods, in fact soo love it. There are many Chinese restos nearby and we’ve tried all of them, only few leaves superb after taste. My hubby is impliedly saying to look for other place since he asked me to look around. I don’t know about this, I opt to stick in restos where we could eat the delectable choices of menu, than hopping wandering around hoping to find new delicious foods. Nah, I tried it before and we end up eating tasteless foods. A.k.a I don’t like experimenting by myself. I should and must hear it from someone who tried.
You can call me budget friendly names like frugal, thrifty, miser or stingy. But you cannot force me to buy any of the ipods today. I love ipod okay. I just don’t love crazy to music. Hey, I could listen to FM radio through my radio, mobile phone even in the Internet. That’s what my hubby likes to have his own ipod like others. Of course, I told him to make use of his FM radio through his mobile phone. Additional expenditures for music gadget seem not practical for me the budget freak.
What’s with the poor title? I mean, it’s the beginning of fall classes. I shopped for school clothing and shoes. Our four years old grow so fast. I shopped for my hubby and our son’s birthdays. Now, tell me who is not going to dry the wallet? I mentioned many times that I am frugal and we don’t indulge even if we have extra dime to spare. It’s just fair to be spending half fabulously. I do enjoy the buying since it only happens once in a blue moon. Stingy me. I already bought presents for my hubby since his birthday is this coming Monday. My son will be seven days later, that’s easy shopping, toys as usual is the flavor of every kid’s birthday. Besides, I ask him to pray for his wishes. Makes easier for me to know what he likes.
School classes just kicked off today including my son who is now in senior kindergarten. He is in the morning class, and you know what? The school is just five winks away from the mall, where we frequent. I was waiting for a bundle of news from my tot since it is his first day of French class. As I expected, I received pamphlets of health insurance and life insurance. Most probably, I would be considering the former and the latter needs a little bit of planning. Gosh, I have to stretch the budget. This health insurance policy is practical particularly for my son who is very active in school. We would never know when emergency knocks.
He’s Counting His Blessings

The second Monday’s from now is my hubby’s birthday. I already know what to prepare, but it seems that my tot also wants to participate the day with his bang imagination. He said that we would buy a cake with frosting saying happy birthday monster!!! Ha ha ha, laughter in unison, and then we should decorate and hide to surprise his father. Then, he asked to wrap a toy gift for his Dad, so after Daddy open his presents, I could play his toy. He has hidden agenda. The gift itself is for Daddy but what is inside is intended for him. Who else play toys? No other than him, ha ha ha.
My tot’s school start’s this coming Tuesday, really! Vacation is over. Times really tick so fast and I’m doom to walking again back-forth-and-pick-to-home. My son is excited for the school, who is not? When there are too many things to get occupied in there. That reminds me to buy him a new water bottle. I never had done those back to school shopping though I just bought some clothing. What would kindergarten bring to school but snacks and eager them? Gee, it’s another winter, what could be our winter this time? I need one jacket for him, we got 2 snow boots, luckily I bought bigger size last year. He could still wear them for another winter before he outgrown it. And, I need a new snow boot, gosh, as I remember my boot is now 3 years old.
