Blue Friday

I do not want to feel that today is Blue Friday rather than Black we used to know. Blue could mean we are sad because we could not splurge for the holidays gift giving or blue because it’s the color code of Canadians after Americans Thanksgiving Day. I’m sold out to the latter. It is right to have our own name for this particular shopping madness. Many shops are opening as early as 4 am until late. It is 5 degrees outside and the news is showing few shoppers are already waiting on the door. They said that they want to avoid the opening rush. What is that mean? They are already pressuring the rush and in fact they are first in line. Go shoppers, I will just watch you out there on TV.

Copper Sinks

Few days ago, I was browsing for a Condo in the Philippines. I have found the best location and place. I have no plans to buy a place somewhere in Manila metropolitan, but since hubby loves Manila. So, he will get it, he is paying for it anyway. My future home in the Philippines is like an Italian or Mexican architecture in rustic bricks, large baths with copper sinks, large patio that looks like a gazebo, big rooms and flowery gardens.

Yeeeah, No Show Snow

I am counting my luck for this month, what I like is no snow. Hey, don’t get me wrong. I loooove snow and I don’t care that it will pour heavily as long as we are not going outdoors. You see, my son is already attending school just 10-15 minutes walk from home. It would be very difficult for us to walk in heavy snow and cold. I don’t drive, we don’t have a car though I have the license to drive, yet I’m not sold out of driving one. You could say that I saved money, reduce traffic congestion and reduce carbon emission.

Affordable Health Insurance

Three decades of without health insurance, I could not recall in one instant that my family is planning or talking about getting health insurance. Were extremely lucky that for those many years of no health insurance we never experienced any serious illnesses that would definitely drained my parent’s poor pockets. But luck will not always be in our side and it’s better to be prepared for the unforeseen. Just eight years ago, it is me who initiated to get a health insurance for my aging parents. Since they have tickets for certified healthy elders with no records of serious illnesses, we were offered an affordable health insurance. My parents now are in their 60’s kicking and healthy, thought sometimes they had some hospital visits. My health insurance for them pays 60% to 75% of the bills and the rest from our pockets. Having health insurance helps a lot for my parents.

She’s Got The Jamaican Tan

One of my friends who’s gone for a week Jamaican sun sand and Spa vacation have arrived. She has blonde hair, white skin and bubbly. She remains blonde, bubbly of course, and her pale skin is now evenly brown sun tan. Her stories about the escapade, the beach, buffet of exotic foods and bottomless bar concoctions are tempering us to salivate jaw drop locking. Sometimes my plans of going to the Philippines for the same holiday extravaganza are overpowered by other countries that offer the same excitement except by not seeing my families. Well, it’s only once in every five years, that means we can always go to one of the Caribbean seas one of these days.

Appetite Suppressant

My fall season’s weight gain should be slowly drained, but how? I don’t like diet pills, how about appetite suppressant? My only appetite suppressant is putting chillies to my foods. This really works wonder. I have a noticeable tummy now. I could not fit to my 15 years old jeans anymore. Otherwise, I would go back to my milk, water, vegetables and fruits diet. Why, why, why eating is good?

Santa Was Here

Indeed, last Sunday Toronto celebrated the 105th Santa Clause Parade for the kids and grown ups who still giggles to see Santa on his sleigh. My family waited Santa since 10 in the morning by the curve, just two hours and half before the parade started. Why so early? Well, we need to settle in one spot to avoid pushing, backing and all the troubles of tiptoeing to see the glimpse of early Christmas holiday. We were lucky this year since, it did not rain or snowing and not cold. Last year was terrible, it was snowing, and all the curves were covered with snow, slushy and wet. Another reasons, why were not able to see Santa last year. I am looking forward for next year’s parade and I hope it will be another cooler day.

Wii bundles

Starting today, the price wars of goods have started. Yes, holiday is not near yet businesses are early alluring us to open our wallets. Our weekly fliers advertise for an early three days like Boxing Day prices. It may sound fantastic for an early Christmas shopping. You may be excited since you are waiting for this and me drooling. I only wish two things for the coming holidays, one of the wii bundles for the three of us and kitchen aid blender. It’s not mmmuuuch, just wishing.
