School Again

You may read this countless times and once again I’m saying that many who are out of work workforces are working full time to find jobs and many as well marching back to school to gain and learn new skills while the job market is bit bitter these days. Count me in! For months now that I have been thinking and laid lots of thoughts about going back to school to be able to compete in the job market. Well, yesterday I was hallucinating, hypnotized and have walked my way towards the college nearby and got enrolled. Gosh! Yes, I am going to study just for six months to learn the Canadian Securities Course. I need this to get in to the banking arena.

Rubber Stamps

I have found another toy for my tot, not really toy! It’s an educational stuff added to his ABC’s. This time it’s alphabet rubber stamps, I just hope that he will not get messy or mess all my stuff with his stamp ink. I even want to play it soon. I was bit occupied searching things in the Internet like finding cheap ticket to Alabama U.S.A then I stumbled to these alphabet stamps.

Bail-Out, Save The CEO Bonuses!!!

Few months ago the rich nations was having a hard time coping the downturns of each economy. Bail out, bailed, government borrowing, credit crunch, lay-off, workforce and the poor. We have heard less or read something about bailing out the poor workforces to have at least lived a life, but few. Why?! Because Uncle Sam, Samson and other Savior thought that the resurrected and resuscitated businesses that bagged the bail pouch will save the poor poor from this bitter economy.

Who got the bail? You can read the news everyday, the bonuses scandal while many workers were swept and walk away without severance pay. Shame! Shame! Shame! Businesses that were saved from falling apart should have at least used the money saving the business and bonuses are ok as long as the money were coming from their own investment income not directly from the people’s money (bail). Yes, I agree with others opinion decency, ethics and respect should come first. Unfortunately, greed prevails.

Unlocked Phone

When we arrived in this country we have had less money to spend for extra stuff but only for rent and foods. Those months passed-by with struggles to fit in and live a descent life, phone is one of the little stuff that became a necessity. Since cash was limited, I opted to subscribe a free mobile phone under three-year contract. Now, I felt tangled with all the rules and limited access, I mean we could add extra services or open other functions, but that would cost us heaps of wheat. Gee! If we have unlocked phone may be we could pay less and mobile phone is more functional. Few more months to go and I will be bidding goodbye to my subscriber.

It’s Time To Plant

Have you been waiting for winter to hibernate? Me too! Now is the day for us to kick and shout hooray!!! The spring is here and I’m kicking my butt to start my spring - summer planting. I don’t have garden or small plot in my Condo. I guess the big tin cans I’ve collected for 7 months will do the trick. I’m so excited to see the sprouts of my lettuce, basil, onions, tomatoes and peppers. These will definitely make my days busy and greeny.

Flash Memory Drives

Who is not willing to follow the trends in information technology? We are very cooperative beings and for the better of us no one will hesitate to acquire things that help us develop. Speaking of technology trends, I stayed at home most of the time and believe me technology does help a lot. Like, to get a back up of my files, I have few flash memory drives, its handy, savvy, useful and what else?! Of course, be part of the new tech developments, besides I don’t want to belong to obsolete.

He's First Movie

March school break in Canada, though my tot is not yet in school but sometimes he also enjoys the free activities provided by the community near by and fun activities in the mall. And, yesterday‘s free treat was a movie titled “Journey to the Center of the Earth”. Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m really out of this world when it comes to movies lately even music. See, this is the problem of staying at home and being frugal. Anyways, that was my son’s FIRST MOVIE EVER, I was bit hesitant to watch because there were many rules inside the makeshift theater. I know my tot will act wild when he’s with the wild kids as well. There I said it right! He got crazy the first 25 minutes and when the movie starts to roll, he kept his posture and watched. My nerves are intact and we have survived the first movie outing without disgrace.

Sale

Where and how do you sell your products? It is typical in industrialized countries that selling occur and happen in an open market, shopping centers/malls and the Internet, and even telemarketing is also one of the gateways to sell products. But, I was wondering if the Howie way of promoting where to buy thousands of goods on regular and Sale prices inside the office atmosphere is applicable or allowed. Expanding our customer prospects are one of the goals to increase sells. I do agree with the idea of Howie entering the office premises to advertise. However, I have a doubt since, almost if not all offices or any business establishment will not allow solicitations. If this is in my country, it might work.

Indulgence In Life

Parenting the new generation child. I mean, it’s because they were born in these high tech generation and advancement. I don’t overly indulge my tot to these brain cracking electronic gadgets that I believe would control his every lifestyle in different uncontrollable dimensions, let say “bad habits“. TV in the lounge, toys mostly from happy meals, occasional real toy treats, and nothing abundant at home than educational materials, whatever is the cost if needed to stimulate his learning capabilities, I bleed to provide.

My son cries when he wants something that I could not afford or I think not good for him. Explanation is my soothing gear for him to understand why sometimes he could not get what he likes. Since, he started appreciating things, his demands also is increasing. Mostly, he understand why not have it and lately he started mumbling and begging a particular toy even he saw it few days ago. Gracious may! That toy will feed us three-day meals. When I weigh it all, needs matter first before wants. Nothing more to justify and the succeeding hurdles I bound to lift is to teach him understand necessities and wants.

Patek Philippe

For my eyes only. My jaw drop, lip fell, and swallow a marble of saliva while eyes wide open. These were my facial expressions when I saw this watch, one of the Patek Philippe pride. Why I stumbled to this site? It just keeps me drooling. It’s gorgeous, masculine, work of art, the timepiece that tells no end, incredibly send happiness to me. The price? I don’t want to see it again, it’s so depressing. If I am filthy rich, I would definitely buy this for my husband. But for now, let me dream for it, over and over again.

He Said The Darndest Words

Yesterday was my tot's dental check-up, not really a big deal. He just broke his front tooth in the shower. He had an x-ray two weeks ago and his dentist told that we could wait for another two weeks may be the tooth will healed itself. The awaited two weeks was yesterday. While, were walking on the hallway towards the dentist room, my son stumbled to another dental clinic and said “ this room is ugly”, and continue walking to his assigned room and said, here is nice and lots of toys. At a young age bribery indeed works wonder. I mean, many know that dentist will always entice kids with toys for them to sit on the horrific dentist reclining chair. Since the beginning I told my son about the good things and toys in the dental clinic for him to look forward of the check-up with excitement. So far, it’s effective. The tooth is doing okay. I will just wait if the broken tooth generates discoloration or inflammation. The sign of damage tooth and needs to be pulled out.

Corsets

Shape, shape, beautiful and sexy. It is very obvious that today’s fashion trends from clothing to apparels even under wears are design based on the old time patterns. The return of the retro is here with the essence of new millennia. The corsets are back and they are sophisticated, pretty, and sexy and express femininity inside out. Though they are to be worn as under wears, but lately fashion moguls discovered the wild side of women and sometimes we can see women wearing corset like normal blouses. I do saw celebrities wearing corset dresses.

Thank You Guys

My last post was about mumbling or rather exposing my deepest frustrations of not getting a job. I am glad to read the uplifting comments, they not only tried to relieve my feelings but they also shared cases that I am not alone with the present economic flu. My issues are not unique and it is predictable, so I also expected and pre-meditated what could be the possible comments. I was not misunderstood and I am happy to read them over-and-over again. To my dearest commenter’s, I sincerely extend my Thanks and more power, so that you guys will continue send laughs and smiles to the blogosphere. These million thanks are specially delivered to:BK, Denford,Tetcha,Betchai and to The Wandering Scotsman who leaves me a lip stitch, I was laughing of his comments.

Pantry Moth Traps

Do you still stack foods in your pantry? You can never say no, with this bad economy and there are plenty of sales for our kitchen stuff, we will definitely filled the pantry. Personally, I only buy bulk in pastas, rice, beans, noodles and other basic foods. We have a walk-in pantry and it’s too expensive to fill-on all the shelves. So, it's stuffed with basic necessities, some worthy junks and do not forget the pantry moth traps, or else this sometimes friendly insects will feast on your pasta or worse ruined your food. You don’t want to do that, it’s a big no-no.
