What are the types of careers that will really help you land a job in times of economic boom and recession? Without a doubt the health sector, accounting, education and engineering are the few that will survive, especially during economic downturns. I do love to have a healthcare career but my strengths could not stand the sightings of blood, syringe and pain. Actually, few months ago I really wanted to go back to school and study nursing and at the same time testing myself if I could hurdle the common occurring in the hospital in which I am weak to face with. Unfortunately, I could not do it.
Who’s got a flawless, not thorny and unwinding path towards a satisfying destiny? I must be crazy asking these questions. Yes there is no perfect way of doing things right and there is always a trade-off to get a better result. Like today, one of the companies that received my job application, asked for my resume in DOC file because they could not find or may be could not upload the resume I sent in TEXT file. Gosh! My computer is capable only creating WORKS or TEXT file. I could not afford to spend for Microsoft office software. It’s too much for me right now. If this company will guarantee for my job, I could definitely splurges for extra software. Why lifeeeeeeeeeee? Why?
The clock is ticking and our days of waiting to visit my sister and her family is getting closer. It’s only me and my son will go on vacation because hubby is hook up with his work, and thanks that he is still working. Indeed! Thank you God. I still do not like to travel beyond Canada, I had bad experience the last time I crossed the continent. If it’s not of the bonding issues I will be staying here for a while. So, I decided to travel light and packed just one luggage and small hand carry that will be towed by my tot. Atlanta!! Here we come!
The day after the world watched the Obama fever. Hey! Don’t get me wrong I am also one of the expectator’s. Hooray! The chant of joy lauded in unison with great expectations. Now, life must go on and continue the struggle to our sweet journeys. Actually, even before the election and inauguration of the Americans President we are already struggling and striving hard to cope up with these economic dilemmas. We just need to hear and see what’s new or changes for our present and future, sort of greasing our efforts to pump-up and energize.
Is this one of you’re New Year’s resolutions? Did you start crossing out one or two of your 2009 resolutions? I hope so, well, if not! There is still Chinese New Year to be celebrated in January 26 that would be this coming Monday. Just one more chance for our New Year‘s promises. I’m not into yearly resolutions, it’s overrated or overused but it does guide us what to do especially this year. Speaking of resolutions, I read that this year dieting or living healthy is one on the lists and of course diet pill, diet pills, Leptovox and weight loss are amongst the well tales.
Today marked another pace of Americans history and it’s Administration. Bush may bids goodbye to the White House which he reign/ed for almost a decade. The house that bestowed him the power to veto, executes, presides, decides, accepts and delegate. To the eyes of the many, Bush has done enough damage to his country and many countries. But remember the decisions of the Administration to protect its people and country are extremely essential and justifiable, but combating actions were too impulsive resulted to these mix of tragedies. The Americans and the rest of the World will continue to live the life for the present and future bringing the sweets of the past and learning that we’ve learned from our mistakes and wrong doings. These are the source of CHANGE that we are hoping to happen. Bush is not the change but his footprints will lead us to our greatest journey.
Two of my in-laws will visit us here in Toronto in the next few weeks and I’m now crazy planning and managing our small Condo space to accommodate additional sofa bed. We do not have many appliances at home, so moving and rearranging things should be easy. We want our visitors to feel comfortable at home that include moving back and forth easy. My son’s TV now is hanging on the wall using the LCD mount and our small TV lift is converted to a table just in-between the two sofa beds.
What did you do for the first week of the year? May be you’re sorting the holidays mess, presents and jotting resolutions for the year, right! Do not tire yourself if you’re not doing anything but staying at home. Do things slowly until it gets done in due times to keep you busy and occupied. Unless if you’re really in the rush and wants to see things in order. I could see myself doing these sorting in fast pace and later on I feel the floods of boredom of doing nothing. Now, I’m wasting my time browsing for jobs, watching movies, though I’m busy watching my bouncing tot’s and the home. Still I’m bored. I miss my working life, work, work and work.
I am planning to send my tot’s to learn ice skating. Recently, he is playing pretend skating on his toy blocks. I know he saw it from the TV and cartoons his watching. I was shocked seeing him on the blocks used as skates. He even says “I wish I could skate”. His daily mumbles escalates when he received his Christmas present, a towel printed his favored game. I don’t know where my friend’s got the towel, but it must be one of her sports gifts collection. I thought I would send my son to piano lesson, but since he started showing a delightful interest in ice skating. So be it.
I don’t and never belong to a dysfunctional family, not even heard and seen it in my related families. It’s not that I have not seen it somewhere. It just did not mess around our turfs. In fact, when I heard our neighbors brawling or fighting with something I’ll be inside my room scared and trembling. My family and relatives are close ties, most of our best friends are our cousins and few are not related. When I was in Bangkok, I did not spent my nights and days roaming around and enjoyed being single and without my immediate family.
My life there was devoted entirely in the University where I worked and home. There, I feel in-love watching the Osbourne’s family reality TV shows. At first, I squinted my eyes and hunched to digest the words every time Ozzy wielded his F***K and all other words that are new to my daily conversations. Later on, I found the family conversations interesting, challenging and FUNNY. I don’t know why? But it’s better than watching The Simpson’s which our families’ favorite cartoon. Now, I read from Yahoo that there will be another Osbournes’ reality shows and will be aired this coming March. Gee! I could not wait to be able to laugh again.
I am a stay home mom. I do everything at home from taking care of the family needs to small home hardware that needs fixing. I tried my best to enhance my DIY ability to save, learn and it’s needed anyway. My hubby is amazed of my DIY ability, that’s the only thing he could do to compensate his weakness. Today, surprisingly he asked me about linear motion. Appalled! I know I heard and learned it during my University time studying physics. My dear husband! Sorry, I did not like the subject.
So what did you do for the first week of the year? Must be boxing the Christmas decors, ready for tomorrow’s work, that includes kids and school stuff, uh-oh forget about the New Year’s resolution! It doesn’t make sense you will break it anyway. What are you’re major priorities for this year? These sounds big and vague but better stick to it! That’s how I make things right and reachable. I have big plans but it need to win lotto to get them, I wish! Good Luck to all!
Happy THREE KINGS to all! Don’t wish about you’re gold, frankincense and myrrh because it will not come. Those are so last year presents. If I will be granted a wish this very first week of the year, I would be asking one of the tv lifts. My hyperactive tot’s broke the glass doors of my TV lift and now it look bear and naked. It doesn’t looks the same as before, why, why now? When many of the appliances prices are back to its original price tags. All I could do is waiting for another round of big sale.
HAPPY NEW YEAR To All!!! Here you are 2009! We are waiting for your arrival with fireworks, Hoorays and hopes. May this year will be prosperous more than the previous years and may our hopes and expectations will come true and gain glories.
Today marked another beginning of my struggles and conquers. This is not the end, head high and lift up the hopes, I am joyous that I weathered all the troubles that came and cross-in to my path and I will try to overcome another destiny that full of obstacles.
HAPPY NEW YEAR and BEST WISHES To All!
So what did you promise to yourself for the whole year 2009? I bet! It’s another New Year’s resolutions. I just hope it works wonder for you. I am not the type of person who keeps resolutions for the year. I am more on come what may. Except that my priorities every year are saving money for the house down payment, my son's educational saving plan and saving for emergency, no more and no less. We were wandering downtown yesterday, just to see how the vicinity changes after the long holidays. The holiday sales are held longer than the previous years, in fact, many stores are now discounting for the coming Valentine’s Day. The big sales are jewelries like engagement rings. Good for those singles who are still working and planning to get married in the midst of economic downturns. Who could stop the unity of two lovers?
