My Genie on Holiday

I mentioned last week about my job interview in the University. How ready I am to move to another City and in fact prepared myself like went to the University before the D-day will come, get lost and got migraine because of the long drive. I proved to myself that I am interested of the job, studied the history of the institution and the department that interviewed me. I was ready, physically, intellectually and equipped with information, and answers for all the questions that thrown to me. Eighteen hours later, I received a call and email while waiting for my ride on my way home that I did not get the job because there are better than me.

Well, Canadian experience wise I’m totally got a zero rank because I don’t have one. Education wise I assumed that my master degree in one of the Universities in Australia is enough to gain the battle to be one of the workforces. Last but not the least, my 7 years experience in social development as project manager and 5 years experience in academe is not enough as well to be part of the environment where I know I will grow intellectually. Job searching must go on and continue hoping for the best to come without working hard to get it. It must be like winning a lotto, by the way, my hubby get accepted to a new dependable job accompany with good benefits. We knew it before I went to my interview. God will never give all happiness at once right! Otherwise there will be no tomorrow to wait for, and I believe “it would be my chance”.

Unintentional Wander

I will be having a job interview in the University next week. The city is called Hamilton that is 2 hours away from the city where I’m living now. It took me one hour to reach the train station and another hour to reach the University and additional hours of getting lost. Yes, I was lost. I was waiting for the bus that never comes for the next 6 hours. I took the city route buses, paid another fare and chatting to the driver on how to reach to the University. The driver and the passengers said, I could reach the University in no time but the route I took was bit complicated, than waiting for the bus that will arrive in few hours. I said, I will gamble my extra time and roam around the Hamilton downtown and made transfers with the help of the driver and the passengers of course.

Bwalah! I’ve reach to the University without a pain but hitching people’s brain to help me find my direction. I had many adventures for the last 10 years, but going to Hamilton, Ontario and get lost are the best surprising events of my life. Passengers, by-standers, bus drivers and students are the people who helped me find my way to the place I want to be. I was safe, feeling free, welcome and in a way entertain of my tangled crossing directions. That means in the coming week there is no way to get late and lost for my interview.

Almost Known

Is there any thing interesting in our daily activities? Economy, business, oil price, commodity prices, education, retirement, debts these are the common occurrence that happens almost every seconds. What are the things or events that surprise you? Even the natural disasters are predicted cause by man made explorations. History repeats itself, the meaningful, mysterious and eventful days in our lives will happen over and over again. Is there any change in our lives everyday? Perhaps, we have to change our perspectives to realize that monotonous activities, events and surprises give different effects on our daily lives. That is how I see it.

Breast Cancer Awareness

I got this tag from my other blog, leaf in Deforest, HOPE to increase awareness.

Help spread the awareness on the Breast Cancer Awareness month of June. Please help convey the importance of regular examination and early detection of breast cancer in order to catch this disease when it first erupts, maximizing the chance of survival and recovery.

Help spread awareness. You can help the lives of many women by spreading the word about The Breast Cancer Site. If The Breast Cancer Site receives 8 million clicks on the pink button in June, their premier sponsor -Bare Necessities- will donate $10,000 for more free mammograms. CLICK the pink button today!

I am tagging EVERYONE on my ROLL and my VISITORS to observe Breast Cancer Awareness. Not only to my female friends/bloggers but also to the males out there and know something about this.
