First 911 Call Ever

Just last Monday, one week today, my usual day-off and it seems appropriate to do house chores including grocery time. The grocery store wasn’t crowded. Our little bear also had extra energy to move freely with plenty of space to run. He is not supposed to do it, and he is not the type of little bear that run and wander around the grocery store. It just happened that he ran, fall and hit the ground chest first, and then forearm followed by his face. He stood up, and then falls again unconscious. Heeeelllllllllppppppppppppp! I shout! So loud that all cash counters stopped registering purchases. I carried him to the bench, and 911 calls have been dialed. The ambulance came and straight to the emergency. My being mother hen panic is natural, and luckily little bear is fine. Thank you Lord.

Stetson Hats

I will be over and over chirping and shouting-out how my day at work ends. By the time my car passing-by this huge building, I always and never forgets to shout, yeeeeehaaaaa! I should be wearing one of the Stetson Hats to complete the routine. My carpools as well are waiting for that yeehaa to complete the day of hard work. Definitely, I am not complaining for my very hard job, I am thankful to have a job, and now I have no more complains where to get cash to pay the bills, in fact, I’ve started saving. Another yeehaa for my financial bundle.

Yeeehaaaaaaaaaa! The usual shout I make after getting out from the workplace, after hurdling the 9.5 hours work, yeehaaa filled me with energy. Yes, yes and yes, I was chirping about my son’s piano lesson lately, and now I will really twit twit about this Kurzweil Keyboards. Holy smoke! It’s not cheap. Goodness may! This means, that the grand piano will cost me like a house down payment? I may be exaggerating, but it feels more realistic to think than ballooning. My strategy to send our little bear to piano lesson is to develop his listening, focus and attentiveness to anything. And, now he loves being in the piano class, and it seems that my purpose serves right.

A Break To sleep

I have been working for the last 13 days straight. I am always sleepy and yawning at work. Luckily, my job needs constant standing, so sleeping or falling to cat napping is will never be happening. If you out there, wishing to watch a good movie, go outing on Friday night or wish to eat the best food you could ever afford. But, I, wish to have a long long sleep. Early bed time, unfortunately, I have to tutor my little bear for this coming week dictations. We have to maintain his good grades, and good reputation to dictation. Few minutes from now, I will be retiring to bed and can’t wait to post this update, and dream for tomorrow’s another day of work. Yes, I worked 7 days a week and 9.5 hours a day. Money, money and money. I need it badly.

Is this a reminder for me? I thought that nobody knows that I don’t own a GPS tracking device, like this fleet tracking. I don’t wander outside the Greater Toronto Area. I once did drove to Guelph, Ontario. And, we managed the off-road driving with my dearest friend Sheila using the primitive map. Yes, yes, we were lost twice and we drove back to our route, as we usually do, when we get lost, right! We’re not lost thought, just driving beyond our route. I enjoyed the long drive, and was never disappointed with little lost in way without the help of any fleet tracking device.

Lodge Furniture

Spring, summer and fall, sing the tune and we could all have fun. Yes! The lovely seasons are coming, but I don’t think so I will enjoy this year’s changing season, except appreciating the road and highways without snow. I will only enjoy the season when I have work-breaks, but not yet. Hopefully soon, more work, meaning more cash to spend, and that is the fun part of working hard. As I mentioned earlier, there will be no spending for home appliances or for home recreations. So, lodge furniture out there, I can never bring you home. Not yet! Gosh! I’ve seen quite many displays of summery outdoor stuff. Enticing the spenders.

Anti-Virus Ni Tatay

Three days that my computer is not allowed surfing online or opening for Internet usage. My anti-virus have expired, I had no time to wander outdoors, working eh! And now, I am free and pay is here to spend. I know that my father’s computer in the Philippines is not up-to-date with the anti-virus, and he is not worried about it, a bit. It’s alarming because we have to chat with them almost every day if “almost frequently” is not applicable. I don’t know what to do, my father doesn’t know how to do it, to uninstall his old anti-virus and download the new one. For the kindergarten amateur or novice to computer, doing the uninstall program and downloading are difficult tasks.

Phew! We have survived the installation of our 2012 anti-virus, with the helped of Skype, my father weathered the pressures of Internet tech and sleeping late. By the way, the time difference is 12 hours. I, enjoying the lunch, munching, while my father in the other side of the globe yawning, and trying to understand the command of the new anti-virus with my constant follow-ups, to what to do next, which is actually, redundant to the easy commands given and asked by the computer. The power of the Internet age, it’s amazing, I appreciate it so much at this time of hour. Thank you God for the innovations.

Corner TV Stand

What I need for our home right now is new set of curtains, we don’t need new appliances nor a corner tv stand. Besides, we don’t have space in our apartment. For now, I’d rather spend our cash buying groceries. Our goal for the next few months to years is saving for something important for the family. Adding recreation stuff and gadgets at home is not our priority yet. But we do have plans for outdoor escapades.

Compost Thumbler

I am an agriculturist. I should know what compost tumbler is. It is unfortunate for my expertise that is not used for quite some time now. Changing career is the name. Now, we are living in the apartment, our waste is divided into recycle and waste, even compose stuff are in the waste. “No can do the compost Jose”. This compost tumbler is good, but I don’t think so it will work in the city neighborhood, for weeks it would smell awful as it decomposed. I hope we can add smell-battling ingredients to the compost. Besides, I don’t have time for this composting at the moment, working, working and working.

I was just ranting about job, job, and job. And, then suddenly I got a call. I have to start working tonight, are you kidding me? Give me a job that I would not get crazy thinking where to put my living teddy bear. Yes it’s Saturday, but hubby is working all week long. Within 3 hours span, I must get to my husband and tell him to get home early as not expected, call the caregiver for the ungodly Saturday afternoon to evening job for her, prepare supper for two, cleaned-up my dearest living complaining teddy bear cause you’re going to stay with nanny in a tick. Super hurry me and drove 45 minutes to work. It’s a factory work, tiring but money is shining. Imagine, my shift ends at exactly 6 am, it was 14 hours standing, lifting, stocking, a food processing job from big containers to small size packaging, with 3 breaks and supper break.

My body was shocked to the amount of labor work-outs, for the first time in my 15 years professional career. First time I worked as a labourer. I almost could not get down to stairs, my legs were awfully battered and my back was burden like carrying a hippo, and arms were like swollen with pain. To the car, took off the metal toe shoe and drove another 45 minutes home. I am totally a sofa sleeping mammoth. At 6pm tonight, it’s another round of manual labour. This time hubby’s around to take care of our little bear. We were told to work at least 12 hours, good, because I needed the money. Unfortunately, the jobs were done at exactly 9 hours that exactly reduces my chances to save more. I never intended to do this kind of job, moneywise, I needed the job, no pain no gain, right!

And, bleeding maple syrup job markets, all promises, your “immigrants” are well-educated people, and end up to almost hand to mouth existence. We work hard, so much harder. We earned income to the point that we have no tax refund, for quite sometimes now. We belong to the tax payer category. Seriously and personally, I don’t want to be one of the burdens of the system. I still have my dignity.

I just had my birthday two days ago. Nobody knows at home except me, hubby is useless when it comes to birthdays even anniversaries. I did not bother to celebrate or something special fishy on my day, I just let it go. Yes, there is no self-gift-giving, this is so artifacts style. I maybe bit acidic about my birthday, but I greet birthdays of my relatives and friends. My cousin best friend’s birthday is in April 29, april birthstone could be appropriate but since she’s far from me right now, I just skip another gift-giving. Hey! My mother’s birthday is tomorrow. I’m totally broke right now, I only have my greetings that would works wonder.

I guess the idea of studying again was long been, I have studied to higher education though only until master degree and lately, getting the certificate to sell mutual funds. Yes, yes and yes, it was very expensive endeavor, and it is also unfortunate that I could not get a job. I don’t know why, but it is likely about the getting experience working domestically. All of my job experiences are from outside the country. Get that!? Basically I will not get an experience here if nobody is hiring me, too bad and sucks too. Few months back I had these thoughts to study again, a degree online, and maybe I would be hired. Tsk, tsk , bad idea. We don’t have money for that and borrowing the tuition is not an option. Also, I have learned that acquiring new degree or further study could not guarantee a job. So, why bother?

Financially Able, Save and Protect

My parents are not rich nor white or blue collar working class. I don’t know how to call it, they are born farmers. We have farm and orchards. I and my sister studied to one of the prestigious universities in the Philippines. Tuition's are ever expensive and they survive paying it, and we graduated. Now, we are both married have our own family and have lived in the North America for ages, far from our parents. Our parents sold their few properties and invest in wealth management, have lived the life they wanted to, except tilling the soil. Now, our mother is very sick, we have nothing to ask from our friends, relatives and families but moral support. Hospital bills and other incur expenses due to sickness are never a problem. Investment pays its purpose. I am glad our parents wise enough to invest and let us serve them with all our might, and not thinking about bills and money.

My mother is still on hemo-dialysis, I hope the dialysis session will be over soon. Although we all know that this dialysis would run forever, as this will sustain and prolongs our mother’s life. Without any complications and miracles, we hope and pray that our mother will stay with us as long as we live. Sightings in the hospital as our father told us are overwhelmingly stressful, the medicine carts, laboratory ovens and dialyzer. There are all giving him stress and depression. What more could you expect in the hospital if your suffering life and death diseases. Gee, my articles these days are also depressing. Sorry folks, I had to express my feelings too, or else I will get sick of depression, wondering what will happen next to our mother lying on the hospital bed with all the life support apparatus. Patient in life support apparatus is never easy to face when your family is on it.

Last week was quite a breath-catching week. Our son got the flu bug, the on-and-off fever, harsh cough and sniffles. It’s an annoying situation and bad as well because our family doctor advise as just to stay at home, take plenty of water and fever reliever. Flu is not serious anymore, it is just like another sniffle days. Then, after a week, I got the same flu. I already have suffered my normal nose allergies plus the flu. It is like you are run-over by 100 of quacking ducks and being pooed upon. Quack quack quack, my head is spinning. My only medication is the lemon sip that makes me drug-high for more than 8 hours. learn about the side effects here, I don’t like the side effects of my lemon sip meds, I could not drive, I don’t have the nerve. I walk like floating, light head and my nerves never feels at ease. I’m totally drugged.

It’s almost time to judge the people about their taxes, tax evader or honest ones. Taxes make us puke green buck if you have refunds. And, to those who are not fortunate enough pays more. Mannnn, where’s the fairness here? Blah blah blah, we are all raising our hands up and file taxation. At least once, I enjoyed filing taxes, we got a refund, and now mostly we end up paying more at the end of the page. I heard that this year’s refund will be refunded in staggered. Meaning, you cannot enjoy your 7K refund in bulk, assuming. Goodbye shopping extravaganzas or travel plans. Weheeeww! Duh! As if, we have refunds. We get used to nothing at the end of the filing, we actually spend more, and we have to pay our accountants. For the sake of doing our job being a good citizen, taxation it is. Expect nothing more but may be “tax owing”.

What could be more sinful to commit this time but dreaming about eating filet mignon in buttery mashed potato, green veges and red wine, and with the sumptuously orgasmic laugh. I-am-really-hungry right now, I could break a plate on this dream. Oh Food, my last, filet mignon was in January and I’m still salivating about it. Sun, sun and sunny is soon to come, my Toronto is warming up ready for spring season. This year’s winter, we don’t get enough snow, can’t complain enough since I love dry winter. So, we are ready to parade our persol sunglasses for the sunny season. I do love sunglasses, as long as it fits to my round face and flat nose. Ha ha ha, I just laugh-out these low factors of mine. My every outdoor walks is enjoyed with my sunglasses hiding my facial disappointments, I guess. Gee, I’m not sour-gripping here, just not happy with my ugly face. Reading the yahoo news or their blah-blahs of today makes me wonder if I would believe, what these article writers are saying. What rings my eardrums are chirps about not getting a job, why not get it, or not hired, and these big boo-boos says that some of the interviewee would sometimes ask your pisbok (sic) password. Ring my neck! And, maybe you’ve sucked your minute chances to get hired because your pisbok wall says everything about you. Honestly, if this is the case, I bet I know why I don’t get hired. Why, because my pisbok says nothing about me but plays bejewel. I only have 200 something friends and they are my old days friends, why befriend others when their purpose is just to reach their 1 million friends goal. I don’t like that my friendship is just a click of a mouse, unsubscribed or the unfortunate, un-friend.

There is nothing interesting in my pisbok, I have it just to connect to my old friends, so far I have few new friends and mostly made of fake silicon, shallow. I know I needed a job desperately, but I would never decorate my pisbok wall to the point of amazement or awesome entry just to get the notice.

Shopping, shopping and shopping, the best thing in women’s life, that doesn’t include me. Got money or not. I really don’t have the oozing energy of a shopper to shop around. I shop for food in the groceries, and shopping in the mall?! I do, but I have very low propensity getting around shops. Yes, I am lazy.When I shop for my boys, my hubby is usually with me and for our son, I only go to at least 3 stores for his stuff, luckily, the stores are beside each other and sometimes I wander inside the plus size dress stores. For curiosity sake, I don’t know why I browse in the plus size stores, I’m in size 4 so don’t roll your eyes on me. For me it’s more on fascination, the clothes are too big, cute big, sexy big, amazing! But I’m not that abnormal woman about shopping. Occasionally, I shop online to the brand I know, when on great discounts.

Some and maybe few have tried cutting expenditures by start cutting or reducing unwanted bills to be paid. Reduce phone plans, sell extra cars or cut the cable. Gee, we have the basic cable and I’m planning to cut them for awhile, until I could start breathing again paying off extra bills, including our son’s swimming lesson, but in summer he would definitely back to swimming. Tsk, tsk, tsk, hubby is not sold out of cable free. That means we still have to enjoy the tele. Since we are living in almost basic necessity at home, darn it! We are really poor. I’ve done all the budget trimmings, still no more ways to get the pig fat. Job, job, job is the answer.

Gifts For Dad

I don’t know why I have to worry about gifts for dad, his birthday is not coming yet, and so as father’s Day. I should be thinking about my own Valentine’s Day and my Mom’s birthday in the coming month. Well, my husband’s birthday is way far too. I don’t like planning gift giving when I have no money, I’m broke this time, and I bet it would be the same poor in tomorrow’s time. I will just laugh it out. Step Stool

Our tot is now 6 years old, who always bugged me why, he needed booster stool, answers never spill, instead, I let him brush his teeth without the booster close to the sink. There, he realised that he’s too short without it. He is quite tall in his age, but the sink is bit farther from the edge of the sink, that is, he needed the boosting. Our tot is not always the one who uses the step stool, I do, and I am quite disappointed when it comes to height. As my mother jokingly said, “I came to this world during dry season”, that’s why I have this stunted growth. Hubby is generously fortunate enough to have the man’s ideal height. Yet, he still using the booster stool from time to time. The toddler’s step stool could not carry the loads, it broke and gone forever. And now, we’re kind of tippy toeing quite frequently.

Another day of interviews and job seeking, today, I attended the interview introduction session to one of Canada’s leading financial investors. As usual, this prospective job income is based on commission and need blah blahs power to sell the financial services. I know I needed a job, but I have no time for commission to come later, besides, my bubble talking and face to face selling power is too poor. I know myself that much when it comes to talking and getting the clients hooray. That is, I could sell lipstick better than selling financial services. Back to my normal job searching and let go. I could work hard selling financial services, provided that I am in salary base payroll not commission.
